Specific Subject Contributions:

The school has a responsibility to offer programmes which provide a wide range of experiences and also satisfy national course requirements. We endeavour to do this while keeping subject contributions as low as possible. Contributions to costs for each subject is provided in the Subject Information Guides. These are to cover the costs of take home items only and stationery.

Sports Fees and Costs:

Expectations - Students going to the sport tournament week in September will need to have tournament week fees paid BEFORE leaving OR have a payment plan in place with 50% paid before tournament week.

Students with outstanding sports fees (unless a payment plan is in place) by their 3rd game of the season will not be able to continue playing the sport for HPC.

All Fees

Students with outstanding school fees, historical and current, of $100 or more (without a payment plan in place) will not be recognized for individual prizes at these celebrations/events:

  • Sports Prizegiving
  • Year 9 and 10 Prizegiving
  • Senior Academic Prizegiving
  • Cultural and Arts Prizegiving
  • Year 13 Graduation Dinner

Students with outstanding fees of $100 or more (unless a payment plan is in place) will need to discuss subject choices carefully with the senior leadership team at the course confirmation event. If students have outstanding debt and are wanting to select subjects with additional fees attached (e.g., Building), then a discussion about payment plans will need to take place before the year starts.

Financial Hardship:

We do not want any student to miss out on learning, sporting or cultural opportunities. If you require financial assistance, please email Sharon Moller principal@haurakiplains.school.nz
