A 75-min block after lunch on Fridays has been allocated to ‘Learning Labs’; high-interest elective classes run by teachers and student leaders. These classes provide learning opportunities beyond the traditional curriculum. Students choose one elective per term, aligned to an area of personal interest. Examples include: Korean Language and Cooking, Showquest, Kapa Haka, Velomobile Construction, Woodturning, Food Preserving, Costume Design, Road Code, 3D Printing, Audio Engineering, Songwriting, Film Appreciation, Volleyball, Tough Guy & Tough Gal Challenge, and Eeling.
